The internationalization of the Rio de Janeiro State University allows to develop the existing cooperation, initiate and establish cooperation through the establishment of cooperation agreements with universities around the world, aiming to provide opportunities for student mobility, mostly, but also in teacher mobility by promoting mutual participation in research projects and training.
Currently, UERJ has 165 agreements of academic cooperation.
Most are of general scope agreements, which enable the creation of Addenda specific to the activities that intend to develop.
International cooperation UERJ with other foreign universities is still visible in the form of assignment of title PhD in co-guardianship.
For the development of its internationalization strategy, UERJ has a Department of International Cooperation ensure the coordination and the development of actions.
