Knowledge Production to Boost Agenda 2030 - Sustainable Development Objectives The Objectives of Development. Sustainable (ODS) will guide national and international policies for development activities in the next 15 years, replacing and updating the Development Goals. Millennium (ODM). The formulation of ODS involved broad consultation process and the crucial concept of indivisibility of economic, social and environmental sustainable development then became accepted. The commitment to global health breaks down into specific goals to Goal 3 (Health and Welfare), which potentially open a new chapter in the history of health of populations: improvement for all, reducing inequalities. The areas of Public Health and Nutrition are important pillars in the construction of knowledge to boost the 2030 agenda, which is the goal of the project. The PPGS-IMS / UERJ is multidisciplinary, encompassing areas of concentration, research and training covering the three branches of Public Health. - Epidemiology, Planning and Health Policy, and Social and Human Sciences in Health Its goal is to develop interdisciplinary and critical reflection on the health / disease process in its multiple dimensions and on health policies in Brazil. Multiple issues contained in Agenda 2030 have been studied. The PPG-ANS aims to develop research in the fields of Food, Nutrition and Health in overcoming the fragmentation of perspective that characterizes life and modern science, with approaches that articulate their biological, sociocultural and public health. The studies point to items on the agenda in 2030, such as eradicating hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture. The project aims to consolidate the partnership and contribute to the international reach of these PPGs, through the production of knowledge around the theme of ODS. 11 teachers and 25 students will be trained, carried out 30 missions work, expanded international partnerships and international publications and incorporated the theme of ODS in the curricula of the programs involved. The initiative will provide a significant impact on the qualification of PPGs and production, contributing to highlight the Uerj in terms of internationalization.
